Program Design Review and Learning

Program Design Review and Learning

A useful program needs a clear purpose, a realistic delivery plan, and a way to learn from what happens. DREF supports organizations developing a new initiative or reviewing an existing program.

We help you clarify the needs being addressed, define the intended participants, outline the activities, and identify the conditions that may support or limit delivery. For existing programs, we can review the design and available information, consult the people involved, and recommend practical improvements.

This service suits organizations working in community mental health, youth development, education, health and human services, or related fields within DREF's experience.

Possible deliverables include a program concept note, needs assessment plan, theory of change, implementation roadmap, consultation findings, or a program review with recommendations. A theory of change explains how the planned activities are expected to contribute to the intended results.

Monitoring indicators and evaluation planning can be included where the agreed methods and delivery capacity support them. Specialist statistical evaluation, clinical outcome validation, and large research studies should be separately scoped and supported by qualified expertise.
